Anyone's ancestor 666?

N° 666 is the father of 333.

But n° 333 is the mother and 332 the father of 166.

So, 666 is maternal grandfather of 166.

166 is father of 83. So 666 is father's mother's father to 83.

83 is the mother and 82 is the father of 41.

And 41 is the mother and 40 the father of 20.

So, 666 is the mother's mother's father's father's mother's father to 20.

20 is the father of 10 who is the father of 5.

So, 666 is father's father's mother's mother's father's father's mother's father to 5.

Now, 5 is the mother and 4 the father of 2 who is someone's (some 1!'s) father.

So, to antone, "1", the father's mother's father's father's mother's mother's father's father's mother's father (if I counted correctly) is 666.

Frankly, most people are blissfully ignorant of who in their ancestry would have such an ominous number. But having it is not incompatible with having also other numbers in relation to that person.

Numbers less ominous. There can be other numbers within the tenth generation back, as, if I counted correctly, this would be the generation in which you have an ancestor 666. Also, an ancestor in 10th generation back can fairly normally also figure in 9th or 11th generations along other lines.

The reason why I take this unpleasant number here? Well, this draft is the 666th draft on my blog, and next one will be 667, in which I will, in French, speak of Nicolas II of Russia and the Communist Revolution. I had originally planned to take some very unpleasant aspects of this as post from draft 666, but I will not cut the subject and Nicolas II is undoubtedly the nobler part of the subject. And this name and title adds up to 667 in ASCII. If you look at his surroundings in Russia when he died, you may feel some comprehension on why he would be "neighbour of the beast". But more on him in next post, in French.

For now, let's check, is that the right generation?

1, oneself = no generation back.
2 and 3, mother and father = 1 generation back.
4 to 7, grandparents = 2 generations back.
8 to 15 = 3 generations.
16 to 31 = 4 generations.
32 to 63 = 5 generations.
64 to 127 = 6 generations.
128 to 255 = 7 generations.
256 to 511 = 8 generations.
512 to 1023 = 9 generations.

No, I counted wrong, n° 666 would only be 9 generations back. Like nine upper case letters is one way of finding the number in ASCII. Perhaps as good to be clumsy on this one. Let's check once again.

666 is father of 333.

333 is mother and 666 mother's father of 166.

166 is father, and 666 father's mother's fathers of 83.

83 is mother, 666 mother's father's mother's father of 41.

41 is mother and 666 mother's mother's father's mother's father to 20.

20 is father, and 666 father's mother's mother's father's mother's father to 10.

10 is father, and 666 father's father's mother's mother's father's mother's father to 5.

5 is mother, and 666 mother's father's father's mother's mother's father's mother's father to 2.

2 is father, and 666 father's mother's father's father's mother's mother's father's mother's father to 1(-self).

FMFFMMFMF = FMF FMM FMF = nine generational relations.
