I...Sorry I said he was good on the philology part.<br /><br />I mean, he uses Odes of Solomon - not a Canonic book - and Gospel of Thomas - a clearly condemned and heretical book - to determine what Jesus meant, as I found out while debating about another of his videos. He also accepts "Q-Quelle" - i e passages in Gospels that some modern scholars regard as coming from an older source, as if Gospels themselves were too late to be reliable!<br /><br />And - on same one - he stated that every sin automatically leads to negative Karma which only the victim could avert by forgiving. That is rot.<br /><br />1) Some sins are not against the neighbour but against God or against oneself as a creature of God.<br /><br />2) God is perfectly free to forgive, even without waiting for the victim's permission.<br /><br />3) Christ and the Pharisees both knew that, since he forgave the lame his sins and the Pharisees were shocked and said "who but God can forgive sins?"Hans Georg Lundahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01055583255516264955noreply@blogger.com
